Vicky Clarke is a sound artist based in Manchester at Rogue Studios. Through the creation of sound sculptures, machines and electronic compositions; her work explores methods of visualising, perceiving and uncovering material sound. She investigates sound as a material through compositions, performances and installations that involve chaos, interface design, chance systems and interaction. Working with electronic, digital and analogue textures; she uses found objects, archives, self built electronic instruments, machines and formats to interrogate and amplify the sonic properties of material and spaces both real and imagined.

Vicky is an experienced arts manager, producer and arts educator currently working for Future Everything as Assistant Producer, Project Manager of Disruption Young Composers Scheme at Brighter Sound and Delia Derbyshire Day.

She will participate as a mentor in #WeAreEquals, the British Council's platform for gender equality and diversity in the music industry, which will hold its Music Academy on 21 and 22 February in Bridge_48.

Clarke will focus her mentoring on music production and the relationship with technology and will also perform live on February 22 at Soirée MUTEK #2, as part of the #WEA Music Academy closing party.
