While traveling in New York in 1991, he came to know the beauty and sense of lighting technology at a party organized by THE SAINT, a legend from the 1980s. After that, he joined Lighting Design Office Factor and learned the basics of light design from lighting planner Jun Ogasawara. In 1996, he was selected as a lighting engineer for Azabujuban's club MISSION. In 2000, he was appointed as the exclusive lighting engineer for the opening of Shibuya's WOMB.
In addition to WOMB and other clubs, he is also active in a variety of fields including lighting composition design, installation and operation at fashion shows including KENZO, Christian Dior, FENDI, NIKA and Fmode. In 2004, he appeared as an event lighting operator for Satoshi Tomiie's label Saw Records at the Miami Music Conference.
