NEUROSCAN (Canblaster & Neurotypique)^FR

A collaboration between Canblaster and Neurotypique, NEUROSCAN explores the possibility of a shared language between sound and image, within a space where music becomes visual data and light takes on the force of an acoustic event. Developed through their research at IRCAM, the project brings Canblaster’s modular syntax into contact with Neurotypique’s generative visual architectures, built in TouchDesigner, a real-time creative environment connecting image, data and movement. The result is a living, audio-reactive system in which every sonic impulse produces its own morphing response**. Both scientific and poetic, NEUROSCAN unsettles the boundaries between perception, composition and emergence.

Canblaster, Cédric Steffens, is one of the defining figures of contemporary French electronic music. Moving from video games to clubs, and from UK garage to IDM, he has spent more than a decade developing an emotional and physical approach to sound, driven by modular experimentation and an enduring search for groove.

Neurotypique, Sébastien Mercier, works with real-time visual creation, searching for a new grammar of perception within the ordinary and the unexpected. Trained as a graphic designer and art director, he now focuses on the direct correspondence between image and sound through generative environments developed in TouchDesigner.
