MUTEK.JP celebrates its 11th edition

Choose your experience. From November 20–23, 2026, MUTEK.JP returns as a lab for audiovisual innovation — 20+ international artists, boundary‑pushing AV performances, 3D/live visuals, a pro conference and the ETERNAL Art Space exhibition (TBA). Now at the new venue MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives, the festival is starting a new cycle.

The festival concludes on November 23 with the world premiere of PLASTIKMAN | POLYPHONIC FERMENTATION, a new performance by Richie Hawtin and Ali Demirel.

Tickets include 4-Day Festival Passports and Single-Day Tickets, as well as Premium Seat options and discounted tickets for attendees under 25. All ticket types are limited in quantity, so early booking is recommended.

Passport Notes
- The Full Festival Passport gives you access to all MUTEK.JP 2026 programs at MoN Takanawa from November 20–23.
- From November 20–22, A/Visions in Box1000 and Play in Box300 will take place simultaneously. You can move freely between the two programs, subject to the capacity of each space.
- On November 23, PLASTIKMAN | POLYPHONIC FERMENTATION by Richie Hawtin and Ali Demirel will receive its world premiere in Box1000.

Access to Programs Across the Venue

- From November 20–22, MUTEK.JP will present a variety of programs throughout MoN Takanawa, including performances in Box1000 and Box300, as well as exhibitions and installations. Passport and 1-Day Ticket holders can move freely between programs included in their tickets, subject to the capacity of each space.
- The Tatami area of ETERNAL Art Space Exhibition 2026 requires a separate ticket and is not included in MUTEK.JP tickets.
- From November 23–December 27, the PLASTIKMAN | POLYPHONIC FERMENTATION installation will be presented in Tatami, with free admission.

Box1000 – Seating

- On November 20, 21, and 23, Box1000 will have standing access on 1F and unreserved seating on 2F. The 2F seating area is reserved for Premium Seat ticket holders.
- On November 22 (Sun), both 1F and 2F will be fully seated, with unreserved seating. Passport and 1-Day Ticket holders may use the 1F seating area, while Premium Seat holders may access both floors.

Box300 – Entry

Box300 has a capacity of approximately 400 people. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the venue reaches capacity, entry will be temporarily restricted, with additional guests admitted as others leave.
If Box300 is at capacity, we encourage you to enjoy other programs included in your ticket, such as performances in Box1000.
No performances will take place in Box300 on November 23 (Mon, National Holiday).

Tatami – Entry

- November 20 (Fri) – 22 (Sun): ETERNAL Art Space Exhibition 2026 will take place in Tatami. A separate ticket is required. MUTEK.JP Passport, 1-Day, and Premium Seat tickets do not include access to this exhibition.
- Tickets for ETERNAL Art Space Exhibition 2026 in Tatami do not provide access to performances in Box1000 or Box300.
- November 23 (Mon, National Holiday) – December 27 (Sun): The PLASTIKMAN | POLYPHONIC FERMENTATION installation will be open to the public in Tatami, free of charge. No MUTEK.JP ticket is required.

About Premium Seat

- Premium Seat provides access to the unreserved seating area on 2F of Box1000, offering a wider view of the stage and visual production.
- Premium Seat holders can also access the 1F area. All seating is unreserved; there are no assigned seats.
- On November 22 (Sun), both floors will be seated, and Premium Seat holders may use the unreserved seating areas on both 1F and 2F.

Ticket Notes

- On November 20 (Fri), 21 (Sat), and 23 (Mon, National Holiday), Box1000 will have standing access on 1F and unreserved seating for Premium Seat holders on 2F.
- On November 22 (Sun), both floors of Box1000 will have unreserved seating.
- Entry to programs in Box1000 and Box300 is limited to those aged 18 and over, including U25 ticket holders.
- Photo ID will be checked upon entry. U25 ticket holders must present a valid photo ID confirming their age.
- Programs in Tatami are open to visitors of all ages.
- All ticket types are limited in quantity, and sales will end once the allocated number of tickets has been reached.
