The final night, Nocturne 3, brings together a diverse lineup of genre-defying performances, filling the venue with a celebratory energy. The evening opens with an ambient live set by kyoka in collaboration with Aimi Kusakari, bassist of Sakanaction. Making her long-awaited Japan debut, Marie Davidson—Grammy-nominated and known for her latest release on Soulwax’s DEEWEE label—takes the stage.

Open Reel Ensemble, led by Ei Wada, transforms open-reel tape recorders into instruments for a one-of-a-kind performance. The duo WaqWaq Kingdom, consisting of Shigeru Ishihara (aka Scotch Rolex) and former King Midas Sound vocalist Kiki Hitomi, blends dancehall, techno, polyrhythms, and vocals with a unique sense of humor. Montreal-based producer Guillaume Coutu-Dumont and visual artist Line Katcho present their conceptual AV performance “Les Empires”, while Berlin-based Makoto Inoue delivers a techno AV live set.

The festival finale unfolds with a special live session by Satoshi Tomiie, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Manami Sakamoto, merging improvisation, dance music, and visuals to close out MUTEK.JP Edition 10 in powerful style.
