Intercity-Express is a sound and visual project by musician Tetsuji Ohno. After establishing his career as a DJ mainly in Tokyo in the mid-1990s, he began producing music in earnest. Alongside his work in advertising music, he launched the A/V series triggering in 2013, which is generated through visual programming. His work is known for its synchronized expression that blends sound rooted in house, techno, noise, and electronica with intuitive generative design and color-driven visual patterns. He has presented live performances and installation works at festivals both in Japan and overseas.

In addition to his solo projects, he has collaborated widely, including co-productions with Canadian visual artist Push1stop and full-dome works with media artist Shinichi Yamamoto. Within Japan, his activities span TV and commercial music production, surround design for large national facilities, sound development for automotive navigation systems, and the creation of interactive content for commercial spaces. Through sound, he seeks to organically connect and expand the sensory experience.

In an increasingly diverse society, technologist / visual artist Shuhei Matsuyama pursues social implementation through a multifaceted approach that integrates technology, from building frameworks to developing solutions. As both a programmer and a visual artist, he works across a wide range of fields, including art installations, live productions, spatial design, and corporate R&D projects, leveraging cutting-edge technology. He has extensive experience in creating audiovisual works and installation projects using large-scale media control systems.

Matsuyama is a member of the creative label “nor” and presents works exploring the intersection of technology and art. His works have been exhibited and awarded at art festivals and museums in Japan and abroad, including ICC and MUTEK. He is also the author of Visual Thinking with TouchDesigner.
