Connect MUTEK.ES - Premiere EU

Barcelona's MUTEK branch spared no effort to curate a showcase of 4 groundbreaking performances as part of Connect MUTEK.ES.

Murcof, Mexico-born/Catalunya-based, sound artist and MUTEK regular, returns to the virtual stage with the premiere of an audiovisual performance, a new collaboration with the visual artist Sergi Palau. The duo, Tarta Relena一 consisting of Marta Torrellla and Helena Ros一 will enshroud the audience with thunderous and progressive sounds of Gregorian folk music. Then, hailing from La Garriga in Barcelona, the genre-defying band Balago will showcase their most recent album release. To wrap it up, the classical pianist and techno producer, Francesco Tristano will bring musical finesse to the virtual realm with an adaptation of his very own Pianorig performance.

The performing artists will be joined by Spanish digital artist Alba G. Corral in the virtual gallery. Enjoy her presentation of two art pieces "By the Sea" and "Continuum".
