MUTEK.JP collaborates with Jeep and launched the Jeep® Real Hybrid e-Creators project in September 2020, to create audiovisual works that express the theme of the Jeep Renegade 4xe plug-in hybrid car, which will debut this autumn.
Artists curated by MUTEK.J - Akiko Yamashita, asagi & Sakura Tsuruta, Intercity-Express & Seiichi Sega, Junichi Akagawa, Manami Sakamoto & Sakiko Osawa, Kaoru Tanaka and Naoto Tsujita - have created audiovisual works that expresses "new freedom and adventure". Each artwork is on the following special website.
Jeep® Real Hybrid e-Creators website
One of the artists, selected by public and special voting, will be announced at Jeep's Renegade 4xe launch event on Wednesday, 21 October 2020, starting at 10:00 am. The event will be broadcast via Jeep's official You Tube channel and Facebook Live. The winning artists will take to the stage, and Hiroaki Umeda, choreographer / dancer / visual artist who is a member of the jury for the event, will unveil his new performance.
