[CANADIAN DEBUT] Ambivalent is New York's Kevin McHugh, a young producer with a long history behind the scenes of minimal techno. He began his music career in the late nineties, in New York, as a producer for a series of electronic music showcases held inside the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage, a venue that quickly gained a reputation as a one-of-a-kind and attracted the likes of Thomas Brinkmann, Dimbiman, Carl Craig, Ryoji Ikeda, and Pole. Through these endeavors he began booking more electronic shows throughout the city, furthering his reputation in the genre as a man who could make things happen. In 2004, he was recruited to produce the first Plastikman live concert in over nine years. A DJ with a proven track record, it was only a matter of time, before McHugh began producing his own tracks. To date, he has released three singles.
