The intangible realm and the physical universe meet in Prifma's world-building performances. In vivid explorations of light in motion, artists Mercedes Invernizzi and Laura Fuchs bring to life cellular landscapes that evoke both earthly nature and fantastical imaginings. Through live light staging, camera work and digital intervention, the duo creates a dialogue between digital and analog art: as light passes through translucent sculptures it is displaced and set in motion, glitching and stretching across the screens.
Prifma have presented their installations and visual performances at Fire House Session, Berlin art festival 48 hours Neukölln, London's Somerset House Studios, FAUNA (Festival Artístico de la Universidad de las Artes), The Wrong - New Digital Art Biennale, La Noche de los Museos and many other events. At MUTEK, Prifma modulates LED light as their cameras roam over fabricated rocky landscapes, vacillating in colour and texture.
