Risa Taniguchi is a Tokyo born - and based - producer who has spent the last four years cultivating a lo-fi sound of distorted textures, fizzing synths and a quietly burning energy. Her signature has become her own subtle and intriguing vocal samples. She adds layers of acid bass and an always raw, edgy aesthetic. Having experienced them first hand whilst living in London, in 2010, Risa also has an enduring love of underground UK bass sounds, which can be heard in many of her tracks. The multi-talented act is also formally trained and a skilled player of the piano, who continues to play daily.
Her first release back in 2018 has hit the Top 5 of the Beatport's Leftfield Techno Chart and she played everywhere from De Marktkantine in Amsterdam, to Watergate in Berlin and of course all the most revered spaces all across Japan including Contact, Womb, and Vent. Despite pandemic challenges, she has continued to thrive, touring globally and hosting a show on J-WAVE. Recently recognized as a "Beatport Next" artist, Risa is poised as a leading figure in electronic music.
H2KGRAPHICS is a design unit that was originally formed in 2000, specializing in a wide range of creative services including graphic design, VJ performances, video production, and web design. In 2011, they officially established the H2KGRAPHICS design office, focusing primarily on graphic design, branding, and artwork for various companies. Known for their innovative ideas and high-quality visual solutions, particularly in video and web design, H2KGRAPHICS consistently delivers impactful, modern designs.
As VJs, they perform alongside local and international artists at major clubs in Tokyo, captivating audiences with motion graphics, projection mapping, and a seamless integration of sound and visuals. Their performances are recognized for their refined, minimalist, and stylish aesthetics.
