Edy Fung is an artist, musician, and curator who is currently a visiting researcher at Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast. Her practice seeks to understand how our material world is conditioned. This includes exploring underlying systems, ecologies, ideologies, and technological shifts that are dominating our everyday values. She works with images, videos, sound, text, installation, and exhibition-making, treating them as ingredients and tools to test her inquiries and speculations about the present world phenomena.
Since graduating from her MA in Architecture at the Royal College of Art, she has exhibited and performed extensively, including at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin, Derry (2020); Platform Arts, Belfast (2019); ArtNext, Hong Kong (2017); Institute of Light, Hackney London (2017); Strelka Institute, Moscow (2016); and LACDA, Los Angeles (2016), among others.
She was a co-director at Catalyst Arts from 2017-19 where she curated several cross-disciplinary shows such as "Hyperobjects", Belfast NI; "Radical Arcadia", Lisbon PT; and "Connecting Bodies", Belfast NI.
