Solitary DancerCA/QC
Solitary DancerCA/QC

Solitary Dancer's ambitiously detailed sound design shows no fear of dropping from beatless ambience into bombastic breakbeats or flattening the mind with crystalline melodies on repeat, rinsed and ramped up in an emotional wash of low-end techno.

The two members of Solitary Dancer crossed paths in Montréal and Toronto but only met in the studio in 2016, launching their first album on British house-techno-dubstep producer Midland's Graded Records, following it up with three more releases to date. Both artists are known for experiments in electronic music that merge songcraft with uptempo house, techno and bass and for their appearances at underground techno events, day parties and other social investigations of emerging electronic sounds.

“This is still, to date, one of our favourite shows we've ever played. Nothing beats a hometown crowd— it was a perfect vibe. We’re happy to share the recording in a moment where the idea of a party seems far away yet, but hopefully not before long.”
