JAMIE DROUIN & YANN NOVAK present AUDITORIUM

Jamie Drouin and Yann Novak count themselves among the latest in a long line of talent to explore the practice of drone music. The pair has been working both individually and together since the early years of this decade. They're well suited partners, as both producers specialize in the reverb-heavy, streamlined otherworldliness that characterizes the darker reaches of the genre. This year, the pair collaborated on the critically acclaimed recording, Auditorium, which was released on Novak's Dragon's Eye Recordings, a label he founded in 2005. Drouin has released four other albums since 2002, whereas Novak has focused on live audio/visual interpretations of his work. This showcase presents the opportunity to see these two local talents hitting their stride. For their live interpretation of Auditorium, the duo will use advance recordings made in their performance space as a sonic point departure, in an effort to reintroduce the room to the audience.
